Meet Gail Thomas

She/Her

Gail has her Bachelor of Arts (double major in Social Work and Child Development) from the University of Victoria. She worked as a Social Worker with the British Columbia Government for 8 years with responsibility for case management of children with special needs in licensed group care facilities, and then moved into a Policy Director position with the Ministries of Education and Advanced Education for 18 years in the policy areas of child care, international education and post-secondary education. She has also acted at the Assistant Deputy Minister level. Gail has worked as an Instructor for Pacific Rim for 11 years, and has been involved in early childhood education curriculum development.
