May I do my practicums at work?

Yes, you may do two of your three practicums in the Basic Certificate Program at your place of employment provided, this arrangement is acceptable to your employer, there are no concerns over conflict of interest and the centre is appropriately group licensed for children 3-5. You may also do your post-basic practicums at the centre where you work, provided the centres have the correct licenses and the placements are approved by your Pacific Rim Instructor. It is a Private Training Institutions Branch requirement that practicums are unpaid.
